6 Beauty Trends From The Spring/Summer 2024 Runways

With New York Fashion Week in full swing, the Spring/Summer 2024 runways are starting to reveal the upcoming trends to watch out for. We've seen faux freckles, shaved eyebrows, Strawberry Girl makeup, and many other beauty trends rise in popularity this year. Many of these trends focused less on heavy/saturated looks, making them more accessible to the average person. And this new season is no different.
Blushing Pink
In keeping with the youthful trends of today, the runways were filled with pink. Instead of the traditional pink-swiped cheeks, models donned blush upwards, effectively framing the face and creating more angular cheeks. The pigment lifted their faces, giving off the look of high cheekbones.
No Eyebrow Eyebrow Look
The more subtle, the better. From bleached brows to thin, airbrushed brows to no brows, eyebrows are getting even thinner, lighter, and neater. They scream, "pay no attention to my brows!" It seems there are more important parts of today's makeup looks.
Centralized Highlight
Glowy makeup looks are all the rage on the runway. But what’s new this season is the placement of the luminous highlight. Instead of the classic highlight on high points of the face, models are wearing it towards the center of their faces.
Light Lips
While the occasional bright lip has taken the stage this NYFW, many brands are keeping lips neutral (but don't think that necessarily means strictly nude colors). These light lip shades add to the effervescent blush look.
Sharp Face and Body Contour
Looking for some intensity? The place to focus your energy is your contour. From cheekbone to collarbone, models are defining their edges with fierce contour.
Dazzling Nails
Forget boring mattes and neutral shades, dazzling nails are in for the spring and summer season. As seen at Priscavera and Grace Ling, shimmery tips and extended lengths are a must-have.
