This Is What a $34,500 Makeup Brush Looks Like
Prices for cult-favourite Artis makeup brushes usually run from $25.50 (US$18.50) for a BrushCraft Linear 1 tool that’s 2mm wide, to $131 for a Fluenta Oval 10 brush that’s configured with over 250,000 individual fibres.
But this holiday season, the makers of those paddle-shaped brushes with super-soft bristles have worked to take the makeup tool to a whole new level. Together with world-renowned artisans, designers and artists, Artis has created the world’s most expensive brush retailing at $34,5000 (US$25,000).
Through its new Bespoke range, Artis has debuted three one-of-a-kind bejewelled versions of its best-selling brush, the Elite Mirror Oval 7 (US$62), which has been hailed as the ideal multi-tasking makeup brush that can be used with everything from skincare to makeup. The opulent brushes are covered in white gold and are blinged out in rubies or bedazzled in either white or black diamonds.
That’s not all. The luxurious brushes also come with a selection of services and experiences including custom engraving, a luxury brush case, seasonal makeup training with Artis’ Artistry & Training Lead, a dedicated support phone number and email for brush care, a special care kit and servicing, and even an optional insurance policy.
