If you’ve been looking for a reason to pamper yourself this month, you’ve come to the right article. The first week of September saw the launch of many new beauty products — with skincare dominating the industry with a range of new and reinvented products like Aesop’s Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum and Caudalie’s Vinopure range.
Read on as we round up our top picks for the week below.
Skincare
Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum
A resident favourite of Aesop lovers everywhere: The Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum is back and better than ever with an improved formula that rids itself of its previous sticky after-feel problem. On top of its antioxidants, the new lightweight serum uses Red Algae and Tara Gum extracts to create a breathable film on top of your skin once applied to create a barrier from harmful airborne particulates. Perfect for city dwellers like us!
The serum retails at $110 for 60ml and is available online at aesop.com and in-stores at all Aesop signature stores and select department store counters.
Caudalie Reinvented Vinopure Range
Like Aesop, Caudalie has taken a step back to reevaluate its products to better suit the current demands in the skincare industry. In doing so, they have reinvented their Vinopure range — a range of gentle and natural skincare products for women and men — to better help people suffering from acne-prone skin with their skincare regimen. Present in the range: Their newly-formulated cleanser, toner, serum, and mattifying moisturiser.
The range is available online and in-stores at Sephora.
THEFACESHOP Yehwadam Jeju Magnolia Pure Brightening Range
Talk about a skincare range that’s formulated with a delightful scent. THEFACESHOP’s popular Yehwadam Pure Brightening range adds Jeju Island’s White Magnolia to their lineup of impressive ingredients to liven up and even out your complexion. If you’ve been worn down by the effects of stress, this range will be the perfect go-to group of products for you to rejuvenate your skin.
The range retails between $57 to $90 and is available online and in-stores at THEFACESHOP and through the official THEFACESHOP Zalora, Lazada and Shopee platforms.
BEIGIC Softening Infused Mask
If you have time during your day to do a short pampering session, why not utilise good vegan mask? BEIGIC’s Softening Infused Mask is free from harmful ingredients like synthetic dyes and sulfates to give you a radiant complexion without the added worry of harming your skin. The best part? It smells great! If the earl grey lavender ice cream from Birds of Paradise were a facial mask, this would be it.
The mask retails at $85 and is available exclusively online and in-store at SocietyA Beauty.
Makeup
Rogue Dior — Limited Edition
You’ve seen it often in fashion, but not as much in makeup: A product that pays tribute to its House. The honorary Rouge Dior 720 velvet finish lipstick comes especially adorned with an engraving of Christian Dior’s signature. This limited edition lipstick is so beautifully crafted, there's a chance you might actually refrain from using it so as to not ruin its design.
The lipstick retails at $59 and is available exclusively at Dior Beauty’s ION Orchard boutique from 13 September 2021.
Sisley Phyto-Khol Star Mat Eyeliners
Let your eyes stand out with Sisley’s latest waterproof matte liners. Available in six shades, the fine-tipped pen comes with a retractable lead for ease of use. For those of you who suffer from oily eyelids, this eyeliner will come in handy — with its sweat-resistant and long-lasting formulation. Perfect for day to night use!
The eyeliner retails at $65.

Haircare is often forgotten as part of a form of self-care. Enter: Goldwell, a brand that delivers premium salon products to the comfort of your own home. Their latest instalment of products in the Kerasilk Revitalize range features a detoxifying hair serum, shampoo, and conditioner to rejuvenate your scalp and prevent ageing effects in your hair.
Stores
SHOLAYERED
Japanese fragrance maison SHOLAYERED has finally made its way to our shores. With the launch of its new store at Takashimaya Departmental Store and Walking on Sunshine salon at Orchard Central, the brand will house fragrances crafted for your body, hair, and home. Each scent created by the brand is perfectly balanced and meant to be layered — a practice that’s significant to Japan. Our favourite? SHOLAYERED’s hair perfume in Fresh Pear.
SHOLAYERED is located in-stores at Takashimaya, B1 (Interior Department) and Walking on Sunshine at Orchard Central.
NARS Opens at JEM
Makeup powerhouse NARS opens its second free-standing boutique at JEM. The store is the first of many to host post-pandemic inventions like interactive virtual try-on screens to adhere to the restrictions of traditional makeup testing amidst the Covid-19 era. There, patrons can try on makeup looks virtually without having to worry about contamination from the physical samples available in-store.
Exclusive collections such as the limited-edition Pleasure Trip Collection will be available at this store.
