Celebrity Breakups 2020: Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson Split

It was announced earlier last week that the couple of 10 months had split, sources close to the couple said. 

Miley Cyrus has since addressed her breakup with Cody Simpson on an Instagram Live to confirm the split.

"Two halves can't make a whole and we're individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we wanna be, like everybody else at this age," the singer said. "We are just deciding who we wanna be in our lives, what we wanna do… don't make it some drama story if next week we're hanging out, getting pizza. We've been friends for ten years and we're going to continue to be friends, so just don't make it something that it is not."

The two began dating earlier last October following Cyrus's divorce from Liam Hemsworth and brief fling with Kaitlynn Carter. 

Whilst dating, the two had gotten matching tattoos and were active presences in each other's social media accounts. 

The Riverdale sweethearts have officially called it quits after a three-year relationship, and have since been quarantining separately during the coronavirus pandemic, according to sources. Sprouse, 27 and Reinhart, 23, began dating in 2017. They have been hit by numerous breakup rumours over the years, all of which they had denied. 

But now, it looks like it's for real. The confirmation comes after Riverdale actor Skeet Ulrich hinted that they were done. This happened during an Instagram live with his girlfriend Megan Black Irwin, when someone asked he thought they're a cute couple. Skeet responded with, "I think they were a very cute couple."

The couple started dating in 2018, and as their nearly two-year-long relationship has seen its ups and downs, sources confirmed the duo have finally decided to go their separate ways. Setting an example for exes everywhere, they seem to remain amicable. Delevingne released a statement on her Instagram defending Benson against harsh comments after being seen with rapper G-Eazy, "To everyone hating on @ashleybenson please stop". Cara demanded privacy as she went on to state, “You don’t know the truth, only her and I do and that's exactly how it should be.” 

Divorces are messy, but a divorce during a global pandemic is all the more agonising. Co-founder of The Row and Olsen twin, Mary-Kate, has split from Olivier Sarkozy, French banker and half-brother to a former French president. The 33-year-old fashion royal has filed for divorce for reasons that are still unknown. However, due to New York courts closing because of the recent coronavirus outbreak, the couple's breakup has been halted. Olsen reportedly petitioned for an emergency separation, but after being denied she has been obligated to stay in the couple’s Hamptons home for the duration of quarantine. 

The duo announced their celebrity breakup the normal way... By deleting all photos of one another from their Instagram profiles. After months of publicising their relationship, they have finished off their romance with an undisguised "unfollow". The actor and his model ex confirmed their relationship in November of 2019, but have decided to call it quits as of April 2020. 

Will we live to see another couple as good looking as Chalamet and Depp? That’s highly debatable. After more than a year of dating, it seems to be the end of the road for the two actors. Although neither of the French-American fashion enthusiasts have declared why they split, this celebrity break-up seems to have ended cordially.

The Saudi billionaire and fashion mogul have succeeded in keeping their relationship private, their breakup however, not so much. As fans speculate the reasoning behind the separation, rumours surface that the couple had differing aspirations for the future. 

It’s been over a decade since Santana and Metcalfe went public with their relationship in 2009, and after nearly 13 years of dating and a marriage proposal, the couple is calling it quits. The twosome endured a lengthy engagement as Metcalfe, 41, proposed to the fashion blogger, 35, in 2016. Only six months after the start of their relationship, Lana Del Rey and Sean Larkin are officially over. The Oklahoma-based policeman and reality star of Live PD, confirmed they had broken up in a recent interview. A source says that Lana needed some time for herself to focus on music, so is this breakup indicative of a future album, Lana? We hope so. 

Pamela Anderson married Jon Peters earlier this year, and just 12 days later they got divorced. The Baywatch star hosted the secret ceremony in Malibu to celebrate the rekindling of her romance with the movie mogul. The couple dated in the late '80s and revisited their romance by tying the knot in January. Although the ceremony was held, the legal paperwork for the two’s marriage license was not yet filed. However, despite the short-lived marriage, it seems the couple is already tied up in long-term separation disputes.
